Bank of Boston
In a previous life, I worked for the giant Bank of Boston.,…The Greatest Bank in the History of the World. Although I had been in banking and customer service in the past, truth be told, I wouldn’t have gotten into the job without the influence of my uncle, Bud Colbert. He was a retired bank…

Blitz! Bangor Area Entrepreneurial Conference
Yesterday, at the Blitz! Bangor Area Entrepreneurial Conference, I learned two valuable lesions: #1: Rabid Gorilla is not ready for the world. #2: The world is not ready for Rabid Gorilla. The take away from this is… I learned. It’s more obvious to me now more than ever that I need a boss. An editor..…

The Rabid Gorilla Intention
The problem with writing about the end of the world in real time is, … who’s going to be around to read it? And yes, I know it always seems like the world is ending but this time seems worse than before. I do not see a path back to normalcy,.. But I guess that’s…

Skafish and Me
My first (and most important) Home Entertainment System I was born right at the time the Seventies were starting and because of that, I have witnessed Rock’n’Roll and specifically, punk rock with a first person perspective that if I didn’t have, I would envy. Eventually, I will fill the internet with my opinions and links…

Juneteenth Book Recommendation
In some ways the Jonesport-Beals school system was lacking, but in some many other ways, I received a much better education, and an entire high-school experience, because I went to JBHS. Diversity was a problem. Or not in a way… it simply wasn’t an issue at all. Every single one of us was white as…

Sending Our Love Down The Well
By dave / May 21, 2026 OR: Where I get my self-righteous indignation(and where you can get yours!) When I was a little boy, the phrase ‘homeless’ just wasn’t in the lexicon. Because we had hospitals for mentally ill people. Watch One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest for historical reference (and watch it because it’s one of the…

Facebook Sucks
By dave / May 15, 2026 Pardon me while I slip into ‘old-man-yelling-at-clouds’ mode, but it’s true. Facebook is horrible and on this blog, I plan on diving into the subject of why it is harmful and what to do about it. I’m addicted. Terribly addicted to Facebook. It’s the first page I visit in the morning and…

My Rejection of Capitalism
By dave / May 14, 2026 A Rejection of Capitalism When I was in the seventh grade we studied the Communist Manifesto. We didn’t read the whole thing but the first chapter; Bourgeois and Proletarians, .. that was enough to put the zap on me. I had never before seen so many of my own observations, feelings and…

Revolution Post
By dave / May 5, 2026 My Fellow Americans, Donald Trump is evil, but he is only a symptom of the real problems. The MAGA movement is founded on the ignorance and hatred that has always existed and now flourishes in our society. The purchased, mainstream media is completely unreliable and guilty for creating this atmosphere that has…

I Never Loved Eva Braun
Originally posted on Facebook, August 23, 2017 I never loved Eva Braun…However, I confess…When I was a freshman in high-school, I thought Hitler was a genius. I had read a book about him, about his rise to power. He had balls like you wouldn’t believe and he brought a fractured Germany together. I was a…
